The Trott House Inn

Stayed at The Trott House for a nice weekend getaway. Beautiful place inside and out. The rooms are so comfortable and well planned. We walked to the Newton Performing Arts Center to see a concert and walked back afterwards and felt safe in that little town. The curators of the property are very friendly and made an awesome breakfast every morning. First time there but not the last.

I had the pleasure of staying at the The Trout House Inn. I had a wonderful experience and the hosts made it very easy to check in and offered an assortment of snacks along with some breakfast items in the morning. The home is absolutely stunning and my room, Caldwell, was well suited and the bed and linens were super comfy. Thank you for sharing your home.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My wife and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Trott House Inn, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The inn is full of historic charm, beautifully maintained, and creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our room was cozy, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, which made our anniversary feel even more special. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The location in Newton is wonderful—quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to enjoy local dining and activities. It was the perfect setting for us to reflect on 25 years together and to enjoy some much-needed time away. We left with full hearts and wonderful memories. Thank you to the staff at Trott House Inn for making our milestone celebration so memorable. We can’t wait to return!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Trott House Inn for a belated Valentine’s Day getaway. We stayed in the Ashe Suite and it was perfect! The owners were kind and hospitable. The bed was very comfortable. The towels were plush. The jacuzzi in our room was relaxing. The breakfast/ snack/ coffee area was consistently stocked. And to top it off, McKenzie made us homemade sourdough bread! No complaints, except that we can’t come back sooner! Thank you so much!

We've loved the Trott House Inn, and continue to come back. Tucked away on a quiet street and in a small town. It's quiet, homey, clean, and comfortable. There's self check in that's easy and simple, and coffee and quick breakfast in the morning. We're stayed in a few of the rooms, and they're all very well cared for, with comfortable beds. We've never been disappointed - and we'll be back soon!

This lovely house is not in a tourist destination and if you're coming from the west, the area doesn't look like somewhere you might expect to find a nice B&B, but when you get close, you get it. Lovely grounds, quiet, house is tastefully done and more faithful to original construction than many that age. My room was comfortable and very clean and had a nice window view. Modern flat-screen with streaming apps. Breakfast is self-serve and thoughtfully set up and the owner accommodated a special request. If you're staying in the area, this is a great alternative to the generic 3-star chain hotels.

We visited the town of Newton NC for the first time Friday. My guess is most people have not heard of this town 45 minutes north of Charlotte but take it from me, this is a five star town with so many warm and friendly folks. We were here because we wanted to see an Eagles Tribute band who happened to be playing at the NPAC, Newton Performing Arts Center. Wonderful venue filled with 500 folks. Which leads me to the point that we found the most wonderful B&B run by a young couple Miles and Makenzie. The Trott House was completely as advertised, one of the best, comfortable Inns we have stayed at. Makenzie Welcomed us, showed us around and to our room the Deal Room which was very comfortable for us and Super quiet. We checked out the Main Street area and settled on 3 Little Birds, a wonderful “family-owned wine bar & shop with a tapas style food menu. A fun & unique place to gather”. It was another 5 star! The NPAC was maybe 5-10 min walk. We enjoyed the concert and returned to the inn to enjoy some chill time in a very comfortable living room. Woke refreshed, had a nice breakfast of frittatas fruit and coffee. Give this Inn and town a shot and you won’t be disappointed.

This place is awesome!!! The town is extremely nice, people are so friendly!! Must stop at the underground bar!!! People there, owners and bartenders are incredible people. Myles and his wife are fantastic!!! I truly would come back just to relax here. Fantastic house!! Clean, friendly, comfortable!!! I highly recommend the Trott house!! My wife and I flew here from Buffalo, NY to see a concert. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised!! Can't wait to come back!!!! Myles, we will have another porch night!!!
